I cannot understand why gun laws in the US can continue to allow these regular massacres:

Gun laws will do nothing to prevent such things. A couple hundred bucks and a few minutes time will get you any gun you might want on the streets of any fair-sized city.

Gun laws serve only disarm law abiding citizens and removing their means of protecting themselves and their families.

Unlawful persons will always be able to get guns; look at what has happened in England and Australia. These massacres demonstrate that the police cannot protect everyone all the time; if private citizens don't have guns, they have no means of protecting themselves from miscreants.

It is not the gun laws in is the none enforcement of the laws we already have. If they would keep the criminals and mentally s**k off our streets most of this would go away!!!

some gun laws make sense, but we don't have a way to weed out the crazies. our best shot is the penalties. if it's not self defense or an accident, then with limited appeals, it's a quick execution. we need to erase the ten or more levels of homicide on the books for the lawyers binnefit.

We have laws against murder. If these terrorists won't abide by murder laws, what makes one think that they will obey tougher gun laws? They don't give a rat's petute about the law.

What happened in England and Australia were isolated incidents. These massacres happen on a regular basis only in the US. Why? Lack of common sense gun laws and lack of enforcement. Every time it happens, Democrats say we need better laws, Republicans say we'll pray for the victims. It's time to get our heads out of the sand and do something besides praying!

The 2nd amendment does not give you the right to possess any imaginable weapon. You can't own a canon, and there are simply certain types of weapons which should only be available to military and police. I'm not talking about hunting rifles and handguns here. In spite of what the gun lobbyists tell you, liberals are not trying to take all of your guns from you.

I know that I am about to be vilified in this forum for pages and pages by people who love every kind of gun ever manufactured. Have fun ridiculing me, but I have said what I wanted to say and I will not respond because I know it would be futile!

However, had the other people there been armed, there is a good chance the massacre would never have happened. Guns do NOT k**l people, People k**l people. This has turned out to be a case of two (or more) people of Arab decent that have attacked others at a holiday party. Gun laws have absolutely nothing to do with the issue here so PLEASE quit trying to make a political statement for it. We have enough i***ts in our elected officials to do that without someone from a country that (when it looked like N**i Germany was going to invade) pleaded with the United States to ship them guns so that they could arm their citizens. By the way, how did those gun laws work out for France? hmmmm?

Gun laws will not prevent massacres like we saw in California. They do have gun control laws in France and that did not stop that massacre. You want to stop these types of terror attacks, then you have to stop accepting these people from Syria and other middle eastern nations. Blocking i******s from coming across our southern border should be our first priority, but the dems don't want to do that because that's the only way they get any v**es.

This is NOT a simple issue, population increases, turning out mental health patients into the streets, simple greed, some kind of rage we dont yet understand, years of allowing the Madras in the muslim countries to warp the minds of large numbers of young boys, a lifestyle that frustrates and a lack of ways to screen out these kinds of people are just some of the factors here. We dont need some kind of knee-jerk reaction from the fringes on any side, we need solutions that work, not disarmament of all.
