Supposed to finally be released tomorrow after a few delays due to the Olympus management (or mismanagement) fiasco. Time will tell. All is still up in the air as to the survival of Olympus at this time.

I picked mine up last Wednesday. It is an amazing piece of equipment. Going to use it tomorrow to shoot in Boston, perhaps some of the Marathon if we wander over that way. Also got the grip with it and the 14-50mm lens which is also waterproof. Waiting on the 45mm but have the 12mm, 25mm 1.4, 14-150mm and 100-300mm from the PEN3.

I believe mine was the first to arrive at Hunt's Photo. I ordered months ago when first announced based on my impressions of the PEN 3 which were very high. I was hoping to get it by my Birthday 4/17 but one arrived early on 4/10 and i got the call when I was out of town. Got in there 4/11 to pick it up, Silver and Black. The have a promotion on through Olympus for a free lens adaptor or 300R Flash ($170). Buy either with the camera and they send you a refund check.

i believe there is a review in the april or march shutterbug magazine. it really looks likean old om-1 which was a heck of a camera. the only concern i would have with buying oly is not knowing how long they may be around. i mine i1 billion in hidden losses they may wind up being bought out by someone else or the camera dicision spun off. over here most of the top executives would be spending some time at club fed practicing their backhand.

I went into my dealers on Fri afternoon and the Olympus fellow was there and we talked a bit, but the store was closing and he wanted to get out of there so I didn't get a chance to ask many question, but it got my interest. So I went back on Sat for a serious discussions.

My basic question was what is this going to do for me that my pen 3 won't.

Left the store with my name on the waiting list (they are arriving today) .

My pen 3 is basically my point and shoot but am moving into lighling the load somewhat.

I will be taking the Em5 to Boston and Washington at the end of May and leaving the d700 at home to watch the cats.
