Another strong image. I think it would be better if you removed the objects encroaching in the sky.

A powerful image, indeed, Shine!
However, to my eye it might have been more so by cropping it differently -- eliminating the crowd and all the other "extraneous" information -- although I do understand how you were juxtaposing the individual with the crowd. Changing the title, changing the crop would have "framed" the whole thing in a different light, so to speak. I also agree that eliminating the power lines would benefit the image.
Pardon my presumption but here is an example of what i was suggesting.

This is such a powerful shot, Shine....I feel that the people in the background lend to the power...And, i do agree that the electric lines need to be removed, but also the two dark areas in the upper left, along with the lines.
Rich...
Strong Image....
A shame an individual wants to play with your image. Really kills the message.
Very nice PP, very poignant image. I do think the power lines being gone would help it but its still strong.
A couple of things.
I love what you have done with the use of the diagonals in this image. They lead the eyes to the solitary individual on the step. So I would not crop any differently and lose that effect.
The crowded street in the background with all of the people milling about so far removed from the solitary individual is captured quite well!
Except for the previous mention of removing the power lines and objects in the sky, I can't think of anything that would make this image any more powerful than you have captured!
Excellent work!
Thank you for sharing!

I agree!... I tried the crop myself ... But felt the message I wanted to portray was lost...
The 'cables' at the top were actually Christmas lights but this appears to not have come over well...
Thank you Martin for your input...
Thank you to all that have commented ... It's such a shame the Christmas lights were mistaken for power cables as I think this would have added more...
Any ideas on how this could be portrayed would be welcome ....
It's still a strong message any time of the year. Wish I could come up with a different title for you.
