If you want an answer, I think you need to include the un-cropped image as well, otherwise how could anyone tell how much was cropped!
Not even sure I have the original pic. I thought I had cropped it by just looking at it but there is a good chance I zoomed in on her.

If the top of the left ear existed along with the chin whiskers in the original, I'd say yes. (I don't care for the current craze of chopping the top 10% of people's heads either.)
It depends on what you want to emphasize and whether you like it. Our "yes" or "no" is merely our opinion.
In my opinion, this shot emphasizes the dog's eyes - full of interest and intelligence, maybe a bit of curiosity as to what the heck you're doing, and where are my treats? :)
Cropped or not its a great picture well done.
I was told when shooting pics of animals the eyes are so important. Just trying to get better and learn more. Winter is coming so I'll have more time to play around. Thanks for all the comments. That is how we learn.

Beautiful little dog with soulful eyes! Well done.

I don't know - but it sure is a very nice image of your adorable friend. Would like to know his name. :-)
Very good picture Johnnie.
Definitely not. The picture is a portrait and, thus, captures the essence of the dog's head, face, nose, etc. A charmer if there ever was one.
Would like to see the original to compare but I would have to say, yes. I think it is cropped slightly too much.

Not seeing the original, I think a little more should have been left above the ears and below the chin.
