I have no idea what these are. They were blossoms on a weed I picked from my front lawn early one morning this past spring. They had dew on them and were very tiny. The blossoms were smaller than a kernel of un-popped corn! VERY small, indeed!
Anyway, they were so small that it was difficult to actually see what they looked like until I had downloaded the images and enlarged them a bit. They looked just like the Playboy Bunny logo! Very pretty, I thought.
Taken with a Pentax K-50 using a SMC Pentax-DA 50mm f:1.8 lens. ISO 400, 1/8th sec. @ f:13. They were illuminated with natural light from a window with a piece of black velour as a backdrop.

I don't know what they are.

I like your name for them. How appropriate. They are beautifully captured.

Good one, Dewman. :-) :-)
Maybe wild Penstemon. Doc or Mike will know. Beautiful, dramatic shot, whatever they are!

Bingo! You are absolutely right. I did a Google image search and this is what I came up with.

If nothing else I know my weeds. I have a book that I compiled for identification of every day weeds in my garden. Have thought about maybe getting it published but there are so many other ways to find out about weeds that are free so why buy a book?
