Epson has a "Black Friday) special with a significant discount. However on checking on the available media before purchasing, I found that Epson has NO 17" photo papers available, nor are printer profiles available for many or most aftermarket papers of the larger sizes.
I was not able to find such papers on the Epson website, and a phone call to Epson customer service resulted in the same answer: "not available".
Available soon: "probably".

LexJet, Red River, Breathing Color, etc. Most all the quality suppliers, have profiles for their media.

I use Epson "Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster" available at B&H on my Epson Stylus Pro 3800 which is a precursor of the P800. I have never had a problem getting paper in that size. I find the profiles that come with the printer software work well enough for me. Furthermore, if I use a luster paper from another manufacturer, the Epson profile is fine. I have had this printer for about seven years and it still works well. I think you will be happy with the P800

The Epson site - same result as before.

17" wide paper is readily available from a host of manufacturers and they all have printer profiles on their web sites that are free for the taking.
