Any thoughts worth mentioning?
Well, really like the overall idea and the execution is well done but I would perhaps like a bit of a tighter shot so the runner at the end is more visible. Just a bit tighter so you keep the foreground blur and the line itself. It kind of gets lost due to the somewhat busy background. Also the orange structures make my eyes look left and right, Maybe desaturating the orange would make the trick.
Just my 2 cents!
I like the idea, Frank! Desaturating the orange is a great suggestion IMO. Also, I'm rarely fond of large foreground areas out of focus - though I know this is strictly a personal view - so I'd crop a bit off the bottom.
Hey Frank, it's an interesting image and one I'll think about for awhile.
Since you asked, my eyes are drawn deadcenter to the dark area, then immediately to the orange on the left, back to the orange on the right and finally trace the line down to the bottom of the frame.
While I like the out of focus foreground and love the perspective, I wonder if turning to the right, or simply shooting the runner a third of the way down the track would have made more sense.
Interestingly, if you crop a third of the bottom it changes the image, but more than anything I'm curious what you were going for.
Thank you for sharing! S-

Lets see
.the runner was not meant to be of any consequence, the orange was meant to make your eye move around to distract from the busy background, the oof foreground is meant to push you into the meat of the photo, which is really the perspective showing the track. So St3v3M is the winner so to speak, I will go out on a limb here and say I have scored 33 out of a possible100 this time. Thank you all very much for your comments.

Don't let it all go to your head St3v3M, actually you could be perceived as a 33 also........me and you both could be wrong.

Sorry Frank but this is just a mess my man. If you can see an image in what you posted then that's good and I maybe missing something.
Spent serious time looking at this and the only "picture" I can see is what I have cropped out flipped and enhanced a little.
Even then hate the out of focus foreground
This is a great idea but there are too many distractions (including that archway beside the runner - very eye-catching). I'd recommend a re-shoot and don''t go quite so low (you'll find that you don't have to, so long as the start of the track line isn't too far off centre).

Thanks Billyspad and R.G., was not too serious an effort on my part......more of time consumer waiting for turkey. Hope this suits your fancy a bit more.
Frank, like others I find the orange structures to be a distraction. I do like the lane line leading my eye to the runner. However after that my eye was all over the place. Your second shot in this thread works better for me.
