I have been having problem lately with photoshop cc processing raw file..{file to large to handle, not enough "ram"} after spending a coupe days online reading and trying to fix it myself, with epic fail results!!
I finally got ahold of adobe, did a live chat, finally letting them take control of my computer, {HUGE,HUGE, problem for me, do not like giving up control,!!!}
anyways, after about an hour of watching my computer perform {what seemed like an } exorcism, WALA it is now fixed. all I know is they cleaned up temp files and did some updates, I gained 12 more GB of space!!

congrats to adobe photoshop tech's :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

I'm a computer guy and do a fair amount of remote work for my clients. Being on the other side of the table, giving up control, would be hard for me as well... Glad it worked out.

How did you make the initial contact with Adobe live chat?

I logged in at adobe.com, and there is a "contact us" button
click on a couple drop down boxes ,then you will get a screen pop up , BAM, then your there!!I think you do it thru photoshop also, thru the "help" menu

Windows provides the tools to clean up your computer. Its something everyone should learn to do since the clutter will return in time.

I use cc cleaner (I believe it really does stand for "computer crap" cleaner) Free download.

It is a one button clean up of temp files, cookies, etc. I run it fairly regularly.

Another thing that helps with a computer that is a bit light in the RAM section, is to only keep the files you are working on, saved on the hard drive. Everything else should be on external drives. In my case, with 3 back ups of each, plus the cloud. Lost a hard drive once, and it cost me dearly in lost photos over about a 6 year period. (back up on CD's failed me)

Could you provide more specific info on this. Have gone to the Microsoft web site and tried using some of their tools. It took me to a different web site owned by another company. After providing me with a very limited service told me it would cost to provide the additional service to finish what they started.

Glad it worked out. Using Google, check out a piece named CCleaner. It's free and helps tremendously with keeping your system running at peak.
