Happy Thanksgiving

Thank you all for being here, offering suggestions, and giving advice.
I hope that all of you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family.
Remember to keep in your hearts our service men and women, the police officer that helps to keep you safe, the fireman that will respond to your deep fryer turkey fire interrupting his or her dinner to do so. Remember the Paramedic that will treat your burns without question.
Thank you all for being here.

Even Sonny..

Zig and Zag all you want, you turkey...
You may make the table next year. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving to all, and to all a good night.

No use here tonight. It's cloudy and even rained a smidgen.
But we had a really beautiful full arch rainbow late afternoon. All the camera phones got pulled and snapped away. (Figuratively speaking)

Right after shooting that we started getting cloud feed from the south. I did some interesting ring shots with the clouds.

Cool shots you guys, Happy Thanksgiving. I brought the two lenses I bought for my daughter's D3100 to family get together. She's older than 40 but she ran around like a kid taking shots of everyone and having a grand ol time. I hope she keeps the enthusiam 'cause she has a great eye and needs a hobby (she's a workaholic). Made my turkey day for sure. I am trying to figure out how to take my tripod up on my roof and get some shots of the moon thru the limbs of the trees in my back yard. I think thats the best spot to get some shots. A few clouds always add to the mystique.

It's great to hear about excitement over new equipment.
If you go up on the roof just stack the tires as high as you need to go get your shot. (I have family all over Louisiana and tease them all the time. )
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanks Jim, I have tried the roof before on a few occasions, meteor showers (no meteors spotted, the shuttle that burned up over the southwest and Texas, and other occasions) I hope to have better luck for moonshots. By the way, great moonshot. My daughter has enough talent to make good use of her equipment, if she just gets out and shoots. She will have a much easier time learning the menus and the pp software, so maybe she can teach me some things. Oh yeah, I have a pretty good stack of tires... you just never know.lol

Great Thanksgiving.
Cloudy all day.
Full arch rainbow late in the afternoon with showers.
Partly cloudy evening.

But today and tonight... CLEAR and shooting!
