I fought for you.
As a WWII, Occupation of Germany, and Korea War vet, I hope I speak..not for myself...but for my military comrades.
Among the many things Americans have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, we should be thankful most of all for our Veterans and their service to this country. Give 'em a thought. Perhaps, a silent word of thanks. I thank all Vets who came before me, and those who came after.

I appreciate the efforts of all active duty and honorably-discharged U.S. Veterans, regardless of whether the war or conflict they fought in was "just" or not, prospectively or retrospectively. We Americans owe you a debt. I did not serve, but my father did briefly in WW II.

And for all of you to remember---they had no choice but they fought for us any way.
That is what makes them great!!!!!

Thank you , well said .
And thank you for your service .
I as all of us revere the Veterans of the US. My father recently died after a long life and a career as an Army officer, having attained the rank of Lt. Col.
Dad taught me as a small boy to love the soldier but never love the war. Wise man, he is missed.

Mahalo for your service and to all those who have served, whether in war or in support of. Your selfishness and sacrifices serve as a model for all.
Thank you, My dad served on an escort carrier in the Japanese theater, and just passed in March, My brothers and I all served in Viet Nam. I'm hoping right now that my grand children are not about to see WWIII.
One of my Grandfathers, my Father, my Older Brother, myself, my Nephew, and 2 of my Nieces are all veterans of either WWI, WWII, Korea, Viet Nam era, Afghanistan and Iraq. It is not just a tradition, but an honor to have relatives and siblings who are Vets. To all Veterans, in all branches of the service, past, present, and future, Thank you for your service, no matter how large or small as it all matters.
I wish it was a requirement for the Commander in Chief to have at least one tour of military service, but as of now, that is not a requirement.
