These are 12th century towers of a former monastic church. Be glad for any critique.
Seems your white balance may be off a little. Think I may have got a little less water and more land, or zoomed in as the water is not looking real atttractive. I like the leading line of the handrail, but it may have helped to angle it {yourself} a little so it was coming in from the corner of the frame more. Mostly all of comments are subjective and others may well see it differently.
Fair comment. I was too heavy on the exposure. I took another.
I - like it much better, how about you?
Maybe try at a different time of day - when the sunlight is falling more on the front of the buildign?
Number two is much better.
Well yes, number 2 is a better picture. But I like the 'feeling' of number 1. To me it looks 12th century. I like the back lighting, like the old church is fading away but still sitting proudly. Keeping watch over the sea.
Yes it could be better. Perhaps a step or 2 closer. So the sky is not quite so dominate. Or wait for most of the clouds to go away.
IMO number 1 has feeling, number 2 is just a good picture.
Thanks for comments. Regarding a step close, I wanted the leas in by the rocks and railings and, I personally like the cloude. I think they add atmosphere but I doo apprecaite interest.
