Welcome to Day 106 :) It's Straight From the Camera Sunday ... which means no post processing today. So I used this time to learn how to use my extension tubes. I took the tubes to the park and photographed every small thing I could find until I figured it out. Here are the results.
I've never seen the inside of a padlock before so this was cool
I normally like to see the whole rose
but this is pretty awesome
I have no idea what this is .. it was on the end of a branch of a tree where it was cut off ... kind of looks like a pearl
this guy is actually only about 3 inches long ... he didn't even run away
a dead rose .. still interesting
P1 Pg love the padlock and first 2 roses. Interesting detail.

By George, I think she's got it! Awesome photos!
This is my attempt to jump back into the challenge ~ Today, I am combining yesterday's story telling with Sunday's challenge - straight from the camera. My Husband and I recently took a 9 day cruise and our favorite stop was St. Thomas. An amazing vacation for which I am very thankful! The first two days at sea were beautiful sunshine during the day and stars at night, but high COLD winds made for rough seas! I got a little bored during the two long 'at sea' days and worked diligently to catch a shot of the birds from our verandah. A single bird would randomly appear in the middle of nowhere. It's not a great shot as I just have kit lenses, but I was proud because they are incredibly fast and hard to catch!

Those are really cool. I noticed the different pictures have different focal points. Looks like you hit all around the 9 squares. Were you doing that on purpose? I've never worked with tubes. Are they hard to determine the focus points or see the subject through the lens? I've never tried messing with the focus points in macro. May have to try that tomorrow.

Great pictures. Love the lizards!
Pg really like the padlock and first rose. Isn't fun to see things really close up. There is so much beauty that most people pass by everyday. I know with this challenge I am seeing the world with new eyes. I am
Very grateful.

Seems like everything is blooming everywhere. We had a very mild winter here in FL. I like the first shot best... The simplicity of it.
I know that yesterday was "tell a story" but i never quite got round to it so heres a story for today.....
