Like the sepia tones and landscape format, you have shot her well although to me she looks a little bored :D

Nicely done. I believe you have a good eye for this sort of thing. I like the use of landscape mode. The light and dark areas work together as contrasting elements. It looks like you may have been going for a Renaissance - Madonna effect. (if so - perhaps the head at a bit more of an angle and the eyes slightly downcast?) Their are some other minor things (definition of the mouth) but this just be the inherent limitations of the Cannon Powershot you used.... f7 should have given you adequate DOF but any movement at 1/20 could cause you to use detail. (of course after Adobe it's hard to tell....) All in all, a very acceptable portrait!
