So you currently own the D4 or D4s?
That will be a whole bunch of nickels.
Assume it's about $6000. If I have enough nickels to buy it I can't carry the nickels. I estimate that the nickels would weigh more than 1000 lbs.
Camera company brings out new product especially on camera body every one year or two, you can't keep up with them especially on high end body. Just keep what you have if you are happy with that, till it can't do what you want to, then it's the time to get new one.
Of course, pro wants the best for the job, may be you are one of them, if so, you don't have to save money because you already have money from your profession, and you can just trade in your old pro camera for the D5, right?
Another point to make is what is wrong with your current equipment that you would need this $6,000+ beast for. Just like it has been said "It is not the camera that makes a great photograph anymore than a typewriter makes a good novel".
Old Rumor. I would like a D5 also only for the speed of shooting. My interest will be if they will be using the Sony XQD G series cards or if they have come up with another method to write quickly to the cards?
C'mom guys, everybody knows that the D5 came out about a year ago but was renamed the 7dmkll. And it's quite affordable.
NOW...., if just only you guys were Maverick enough to actually get one!!!!!

Please notice the lol after the statement. Not a serious purchase by any means. I am happy with my D3 and D610 and have all I can do with both. Yes, the nickels would get heavy, for sure!
