For those of you who used Picnik, and really liked it for a quick edit, there is something pretty similar, and it's free:
http://www.picmonkey.com/ - nothing like the the fancy editing programs, but for those who don't want to have to buy anything, and it's super easy, it's a great place to start.

THANK YOU so very much!

I tweaked all of my photos ever-so-slightly, using Picnik in Picasa 3. PicMonkey gives me exactly the same controls, and even more. I love the "Save" feature that allows re-naming and choice of image storage size.

Well Done! PicMonkey is now on my PC desktop.

I loved Picnik but it was so slow! Is PicMonkey faster?

Picmonkey is fast & I love it's simplicity as I don't do a lot of tweaking.

I will say it easy, simple, and too the point. At least it does not try to organize ever thing like Picas does. I hope Google does not get a hold of it mess it up also. I am looking for good reason to get rid of all their apps. any way.

I like it for the quick things, it does a great job of airbrushing, teeth whitening, pretty much anything. And I like that you can add your name to the corner of a photo. It's new, so I imagine at some point you'll have to pay for the advanced features, but Picnik was only like $24/year, so I imagine they might do something like that eventually.

Well if you click on the things you see that say new, you will find out that it is a trial and there will be a charge coming soon

How cool is that! I missed Picnik on flickr...now I can do just the little tweaks. Since I am not longer shooting weddings,etc..Did not feel like shelling out for PS yet.
But, when my eyesight improves...maybe get the D800 and let loose again! Thanx for sharing!!

UPDATE: The app is in beta just now, and hence, all effects can be used for free. Once the beta is over, access to some effects will be restricted and will require you pay to use them.

That is what I did. Thanks for the 4-1-1. Now I am not sure why an AF Nikkor lens in full auto would produce such an out of focus image??? I do have one the isn't on my PC screen. I know it's an S lens as it's on a D5000. I think another Nikon user had a similar issue with his 5100. Don't know why I didn't go with Canon again...?
Now how do I delete this image and put up one that is focursed?

Thanks,
steve
