taking a snapshot in photoshop raw

how do you take a snapshot of work done in acr?

Do you mean a screenshot? As in, you've done some work in ACR and now want to record it in an image?
Press the PrintScr button (on a PC, don't know about Mac), then open a new document in Photoshop, then press Ctrl + V.
Or, if you use Photoshop Elements, and I imagine this would work in Photoshop as well, from the Menu line, select File -> New -> Image from Clipboard.

actually i figured it out. in camera raw the snapshot option (NOT a screenshot) is only available under certain tabs -if you are using any of the brushes you have to go back to one of the other options and you will have a snapshot option on the right
