this is one of the cameras I am interested in ( I am 68 and have a canon 60d w 24-105 and am looking at something smaller). I mainly shoot gardens and zoos. how happy are you with the results you get from this camera and lenses? how easy is it to operate, and does the size cause any problems?
Very happy with the results. Easy to use but the menu system can take some getting used too. Light weight.
Recommend the 50mm 1.8, the 55-210, as both are quite good.
I am 66 and have one for a year now. The menu system is different and takes time to learn. Buy Gary Friedman's Book (e-book). You should get the 18-55 and 55-210 lenses as they are Image Stabilized and then you will have a better system than the Canon 60D you mentioned(I have it as well.)
If you have any older manual lenses they are fun to use with the A6000 and an adapter. Manual focus is easy with Focus Peaking. You can find the camera and both lenses for about the same price. These are great prime lenses but no image stabilization.
