Hi everyone, as I posted early I just received my refurb D-7100 from B&h of which I am very happy with for $579. I notice adorama is selling thiers for $489. Wow what a difference. I am going to e-mail B&H to see if they will match adoramas price , a credit that I can use for a future purchase, being that my purchase and adorama price were so close together. It's worth a try. It just goes to show you, timing is everything.

Great deals to be had for those that don't need the latest and greatest. I got my D-7100 quite a while ago (still a refurb) for quite a bit more, but I have no regrets.
The prices being where they are (Cameta has a few pretty good package deals for those that don't have any lenses yet as well) I'm more than a little tempted to get another D-7100 refurb, and retire my D-7000. They are very similar, but there is enough difference that it would make a difference for me.
I like Cameta, because of the 1 year warranty, instead of 3 months, but in the long run, normally I find the issues with a camera in the first few weeks. If I make it past then, I normally don't ever have any issues until the body is completely worn out.
11/17/2015 Recently I was shopping for a Nikon D7100 body only-refurbished and compared existing prices. B&H had one for $624.95 and Adorama had one for $599. Since I had a B&H acct., I phoned B&H customer service to see if they would match Adorama's price. Louis, the CS rep was very cordial. He checked with the powers that be and found they would not match the price. I waited in making the purchase and recently bought the Nikon D7100 body only refurbished at Adorama for $499. It should be delivered today. Subsequently, Adorama lowered their price to $489. I phoned Adorama CS and they gave me store credit for the difference.
I'm glad I saw this because I also have a D7100 being delivered today. I called Adorama, and they are issuing the $10 credit to me also. Thanks for the post. The $499 was an excellent price, the $489 is even better.
11-17-15 My D-7100 body only refurbished (sent by Adorama) was delivered today as expected. First observation: it looks like a new D-7100. Second observation: all the accessories that come with a new camera were in the box including a Nikon manual. Good Deal at $489.
Just for kicks, you may want to make a picture then upload it to camerashuttercount.com to see how many shutter actuations are on the camera.
I just received my 7100 from Adorama, and as normal, the refurbished model looks completely new. Checked the shutter count and it has 934, so I am very happy with that.
The first one I ordered had almost 43,000 shutter counts, so I wasn't too happy with that one. Fortunately, I was able to return it to Cameta for a full refund.
