These are my choices: Canon 6d w/ 24-70L ii f/2.8 or Canon 5DIII w/ 24-70L f/4. No need to tell me other combinations, or other name brands, it's just between these two. I'm not sure which direction I'd like to go.

Tracy, both cameras are of very good quality. The AF of the 5D MkIII makes it the more versatile of the two. The 5 series has a proven track record. You must consider things such as weight, cost, size, etc. Then only you can determine which is the "best" choice. You're going to shoot it, you're going to choose it. GL, you can't go wrong.

Yea, I just wanted some opions. The cost between these to choices are much different.

Tracy, if you have no financial restriction, although at more money, by all means get the 5lll but get it refurbished to save money. And on Loyalty if you can.
BUT, I would get the 24-105!! There is rarely an advantage to go shorter unless you need the 2.8, since the lenses are the same size physically.
If you are purely a Landscaper, the 6D will do the same job for a lot less money! Good luck and enjoy your new equipment!! 📷📷📷

I have the 6D and find it takes care of my needs nicely. I find that at mi-range f/4 is fast enough. I just couldn't justify the price difference.

I have a 6D as well as the 24-70 f/4 L. I also have the 24-105 L. (Yeah, I know, overlap. That's a whole 'nother story). In addition, I have the 7DII which more then makes up for the 6D's shortcomings in auto focus and frame rate. If I could only have one camera body instead of the two I have , it would definitely be the 5DIII. High ISO/low light performance is about the same, but frame rate is 33% higher and the auto focus is far better then the 6D. Simply put, the 6D is very good in many ways, but the 5DIII can just plain do more. It also has a more rugged build and better weather sealing. (The 6D has pretty much no weather sealing.)
Unless you have a real need for a 2.8 lens, the f/4 is likely to be all you need since both the 6D and 5DIII are both very good in lowlight. Personally, I think you are making a mistake if you don't look at the 24-105 L. I use mine much more then I use the 24-70 L, to the point that I often consider selling the 24-70. I won't though, since I do find the close up feature handy at times. If I had to choose between the two, it would be the 24-105.
Of the choices you list, anything you buy will provide you with a very good camera and lens. Enjoy!

Really I had considered the 24-105 because I've read it isn't as good as the 24-70. But, I'm definitely going to give it another look. Thanks.

If cost is no object, go with the 5D III with the 24-105L Lens. You will have an excellent camera and a lens with more reach than the 24-70L. Good luck.

Limited to the choices at hand I would go for the 5DIII combo.
