I think black and white works well on this image!
It would be so enjoyable to just roam around, with eye to the viewfinder, discovering photogenic treasures here!
Unfortunately, for me this composition doesn't quite work because there are so many small details, all similar in size, and all too small to appreciate.
If you have any closer views you'd like to share, I'd love to see. It's OK to post within this same thread (FYC forum) :)

I think I have to agree with Billy. All those angles are freaking me out man. The colour looks better for me.
