no its not sand its a white towel i hung on the outside wall because i didnt want the bricks in the background

Very nice image and great color. My only suggestion for improvement would be to put more distance between the flower and the white towel so as to make it even more out of focus.

You could also attempt to create the same effect by creating a mask of the flower and mess with the background with "blur" and perhaps other tonal changes to isolate the flower a little more. My first impression was the same question, what's the background. Its a little distracting.

I agree.

It would be easy to "select" the flower in PS and change the background to something else... even a total black would make the flower stand out much more than the overpowering white of the towel.
