Man oh man...what a wait. I think it was about a month and a half or more but my baby's back from the doctor!

She had a light leak and needed a CLA and I got the upgraded Viewfinder installed.

I'm going through a test roll right now. :)

I'm glad to hear she recovered and is healthy again.

Sweet, sweet. Just advancing the film with a Leica is an sensual experience.

It really is. Some people will scoff but it really has to be tried to be believed. There is something special about using a camera that doesn't have any extras; no auto-anything; no autofocus, no modes, nothing except shutter speed and aperture.

I totally agree with that. like someone on here asked a while back about using an non autofocus lens. "Why are you using that antiquated stuff." its because to me this is what real photography is all about.

 Could not agree more.

One unsolicited suggestion. Keep an eye out for a reasonably priced half case or “camera protector” as they are called sometimes. IMO this is not “GAS-eous” purchase. :) I never used my M4 without its original Eveready case and judging from the scuffs, nicks etc. to the leather, I have no doubt that that’s the reason it looks pretty much the same today as when it was purchased some decades ago.

As much as I hate scratches on my camera, I hate half cases even more. I'll take a few battle scars over a case any day.

Glad to hear you got your camera back, but what kind of roll did you use? Personally, I think Cinnabon are the best! Kinda messy to be around a camera though!

Somehow I don't think that putting a cinnamon roll in a great camera is a good idea. LOL
