This is the Buffalo Fire Boat/Ice Breaker. It was built in 1900 and refitted in 1953. The Cotter was named a National Historic Landmark in 1996.

What a wonderful photo of this boat. My dad was a Buffalo Firefighter A woman that works at the hair salon here in VA is the grand daughter of Edward Cotter.

Very interesting photograph and the HDR was spot on. There is some ghosting around the poles probably caused by too much "highlights" adjustment.
