The problem with the AVX and it's integration within Nexremote has to do with the limited memory the older hand controller had to utilize, and the software was written over a decade ago I believe. For it to be apt with the newer mounts or even the StarSense it would have to be completely rewritten, from the ground up. From what I understand through my dealings with Derek, their firmware engineer, they are in desperate need of two or three coders, but I imagine the pay must not be competitive considering they have been looking for quite some time.

In theory, they are working on a new iteration of nexremote, but since they have lost more than a few loyal customers due to buggy equipment, and faulty programming being pushed into release to then have the early adopters become unwilling beta testers, as I was with both the Sky and Starsense. I don't mind testing and even logging USB protocols, but to have to be suckered into it by false promises of what their equipment is only now beginning to be able to tackle after over two years.

A lot of people were miffed, myself included,
Matthew

A better way to remove the mirror flap shake is to put a 3 second delay in your exposure settings.

A). It removes the shake of the mirror flipping up.
B) it eliminates a great volume of noise that is created by the heating up of the sensor due to the constant reading of the sensor in live view.

Nikon or Canon? I haven't seen a setting that will do that for me in the Canon.

I did a search comparison. Mirror lockup is the canon equivalent.
I will explore this further. Thanks!
