I too really like the picture of the silo! I like the sepia and what a great composition. Talk about geometric shapes! Good one! And yes, #3 is a good "what is it" pic. :-)

Great start Irene. Seeing the same old things each day can be very boring. I find that if I take a deep breath and close my eyes for a few seconds, to clear the clutter out of my brain, I sometimes come away with a new fresh idea or look on the mundane things in my life. Here are a couple that I see every day, and then one day decided to see what I could do with them.

Boy, does it ever seem strange to not have Roadrunner commenting and posting! I miss his first coffee of the morning pics! LOL! I bet he is having a great time on his trip though and will have some wonderful pictures when he returns!

I often cannot get motivated to take pictures and wander around trying to find something interesting! Or I find a subject but just can't seem to get an angle or POV that is interesting! I worked these forks forever it seemed and only got a couple that even came close to what I was trying for.

Note to self....go delete all the ones that didn't work!!! LOL!

Life has been busy. I will try to get out after work. We are supposed to get 50 to 55 mph winds today.

Welcome to the next challenge. Thank you Judy for hosting 'Then' and 'Now'. It was a wonderful challenge with very fun and interesting posts by everyone.

It must be the fall 'blues' as I am having trouble picking up my camera and getting out to shoot. I did go out one day to a nearby State Park knowing most of the colorful leaves had fallen....and hoped to find something of interest. And to make it more challenging I put on the 75-300 mm lens....not a good walk about lens....but very challenging....at least it was for me.

Thank you Irene. The blue, red and yellow is the color of that hydrant. Not only is it b-o-r-I-n-g, but it's ugly too...

But interesting colors for a hydrant..great to photograph and I liked yours.

There was nothing wrong with your photos! I liked the angles (POV) of the bridge and all the lines, pattern and lighting. also the color of the bridge match perfect with the color of the leaves in the last picture. You did a great job!

Thanks Clicker.....it was a challenge working with this lens....maybe I'll work the mailbox today....weather permitting...to see what I can do.

Cute! I like the effect too. And the toys in #1 bring back a lot of memories too!

:D

Would have worked for Judy's challenge....but I do not have today's version of these. Grands always played with my kid's leftover toys.

Thanks, Irene. Hope to get to the link. Like you, haven't taken the camera out a lot lately. November is a depressing month - everything browns, bleak and bare. This would be a good assignment to find something that would be otherwise.
