Fill me in Frank. 17 and 4-3-6 may relate to syllable counts, but do these relate in some way to the posted image?

I'm with you! From my personal perspective fewer than 17 syllables is far better for English haiku. 4-3-6 would be 13...but some still use 5-7-5 and create excellent haiku.
