Is anyone else having trouble updating PSE13? I have tried the chat room support which was totally useless. They told me I'd have to go to the community forum, which I did. I tried the suggestions there and nothing worked i.e. logged in as an administrator, logged in under safe mode (not sure I did this right), and I don't remember the other thing. I just received Lightroom so plan to use that going forward along with PSE13 as is. Maybe the update is no big deal.

Didn't even know there WAS an recent update for PSE 13. With PSE 14 aleady on the market, I'd almost think that updates would be discontinued for the older version. When I last updated my PSE 13 several months ago, it went in with no errors.

Just checked mine - Win 7, PSE13 and it had me update "Adobe Application Manager" which I did and had no problems with that. Checked after that and it told me everything was up to date.

Depends on what you are trying to update - After a new version, normally updates for the older versions cease and you need to upgrade to get the latest and greatest.

PSE 14 has been out and is the official current version for several weeks at least now I believe.

Thank you. It was supposed to update to Camera Raw 9.? Also, an update that made it easy to scroll from one pic to the next. But I suspect I'll live with it as is since I just purchased Lightroom.

I too had issues with PSE13 continually telling me an update is available, but nothing happens.
Just puchased 13 in Sept. PSE14 became available 9/24/15 to my knowledge.
I read that you are eligible for the latest release if you purchased an older version after a new one is available.
Not sure who to contact.

You might want to try the Adobe site - select UPGRADE NOW, then when in the cart, use the CHAT WINDOW on the right to explain your issue and see what the advice is.

I did finally talk to someone at support who told me the free upgrade to PSE14 was available only if you purchased PSE13 after Sept. 23. Hope this is the case for you; I bought mine the end of August so no upgrade for me.

Thanks, I'll try that. But now when I open PSE13, I no longer get the screen that says there is an update available--probably because 14 has been out for 2 months.

Thanks. I'll check the exact date of purchase. My wife bought it as a gift sometime that week.
Already tried the chat route but they simply gave a phone number of sales.

Just checked my PSE14, it lists ACR as version 9.2.0.486
PSE12 lists ACR as 8.5.236 - the last update, and I bellieve as version 14 is now out, will not be updated again.
