Thanks, that is my grandson. He wasn't really randomly running by, but he does like to run. He is faster than me, but that is not saying much.

Excellent capture. On the technical side you should try have more space on the side he is looking into. Not always possible when shooting a candid of children. Impressive image.

True I cropped close because I wanted to get the most out of his expression. Actually, the focus is not great either. That was my first inclination to turn to black & white. But really this was one of those random pics that I forgot I had. I was coming back from a senior shoot. While taking the camera out of the car I just fired away at him. No pre-planning or lighting considerations. When I was going through the other pics there he was.

Its those unplanned moments that make this image so special.

Absolutely love this one. Anything that catches emotion like that, is a winner in my book. Add the fact that the lighting is superb, and it is, moves to the next level.

Wow, thanks for the next level comment Bob! I think there are a few levels to go, but this little dude is living with us for a while and is always smiling like that so great model to practice on.
