Real Deal on Canons

I just got home and opened my e mail and found a mail from Adorama announcing a Canon T5i & Pro 100 printer for $399.00. If I didn't have 4 Nikons and a Sony already I would definitely go for this deal. Of course it's already sundown in New York.

$399.99 after a $350 mail-in rebate; original cash outlay $749.99. I do not trust mail-in rebates AND this does not specify a cash rebate; the rebate might be in the form of store credit or coupons. I'd be interested in Helen's take on this.

UPDATE: I sent a PM to Helen asking for her comments.

That still gives you either the camera or the printer free.

You could be right; this could be the best thing since toaster waffles. But I'll wait to see if Helen zoster comments.

Canon rebates are usually (pretty much always, actually) in the form of Am Ex Reward cards. It appears when checking this listing, that is also the case with this deal.

Can that be used anywhere or just on Adorama?

Anywhere an Am Ex card is accepted. (At least that is how it has been with past rebates I have gotten from Canon.)
