bought my d7100 from (B&H)....

as part of a package deal that included extra battery, wireless mobile adapter and sd card...
sd card is not functioning correctly...notified B&H about the problem and they promptly gave me credit for $8.36 for a card that cost $15.89....thank you :)

So, does that mean if you returned the camera you would want the "full" price back, or are you satisfied? :-)

well lets see.....if I walked in your store and bought something that was defective, obviously I would want you to refund my "full" price.....wouldn't you???

and I have notified them asking why the difference...haven't heard back yet

The card was part of a package deal, you did not pay $15.89 for it. B&H has refunded the what their value was based on the package where the card was heavily discounted. On it's own outside the package, the price, not discounted, is probably the $15.89 asked for a new one. What you should have done is sent them back the defective card and ask them to replace it.

That is was I was curious about. The sum of the individual parts was greater than the price paid..... :-)

well heard back from B&H and as I totally expected from them they took care of the issue....get to keep the corrupt card and they are shipping me a new one at no charge to me...thank you B&H.... :)

Absolutely correct...I wasn't thinking about the pricing of it in a package deal....they have righted the issue tho....sending me a new card , the $8 and change refund and I get to throw away the bad card.... :)

Glad you got it resolved :D B&H is a good vendor - they try hard to make things right!

Yes that they are.....that's why I shop them....al my camera equip has come from B&H except for one piece and that's my 10-24mm lens....and I really wasn't looking to get a refund or a new card "glad I am tho" I just wanted to let them know about the bad card. I know the odds are pretty much in my favor of not getting another bad card , but then again you never know....just like cars , ya' never know....Tom

Would you mind sharing what brand the SD card is? Also what capacity 32GB or different?

I have bought quite a bit of photographic equipment from B&H, and I have never had a problem with them. I highly recommend B&H for all of your photographic needs.

I've never had any issue's with them either, I guess it was just the luck of the draw and I received a faulty SD card, "not B&H's" fault....and I think they have gone above and beyond by refunding my money for the card and also sending me another at no charge to me
