When he was a viable candidate you (not you personally Mac) couldn't believe a word he said but now all of a sudden what he says is gospel.

I don't believe a word any polician says, no matter what they say they are not running to to help anyone but themselves, be it their ego, their bank account or own personal agenda.

They say what they think you want to hear and keep their true plans hidden until they are in office.

* Fox News is bias to the American right, CNN is bias to the American left. There is no real un-bias media soruce in today's market. If you beleive there is, your only fooling yourself.

I didn't mean to imply that his word is gospel, or that he was even correct in saying that. I don't watch FOX News anymore so I don't know how FOX News handled the primary season. I found it funny that he would say something like that. Sour grapes maybe?
I do think though, that there is a larger split than most realize in the republican party between conservatives and the super conservatives that could split the party in two--especially if Obama is reelected.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Note that Gingrich only referred to CNN's position on Romney, not on Obama, or on general news reporting.

You may be right Mac I really don’t know. I don’t think it matters if Obama is re-elected or not, I think what really matters is who’s elected or re-elected in congress.

I agree, I think that the congressional elections are the more important of the two. I have also read some well respected conservatives newspaper/magazine columns suggesting that same thing.

You may want to consider who or whom will be in a position to nominate federal and supreme judical, and make presidental appoitments including cabinent post. and a bevey of others - I would argue it does and will matter greatly.
Now Newt - he does not matter except in his own mind.

Only when every voter, and I mean every single one, decides to kick every politician out of office, will we get the nation moving. We need new blood, and lots of it.

You seem pretty sure that all blood that is not in DC is nothing like any of the blood that is in DC, and that none that is there now is of any good. Sounds simple enough, if it were true, sounds easy enough if it was practical enough to happen, which it won't. Mostly those that do vote can tell you who or what they are against - usuallly the other person and their ideas, but will vote their own in every time with the same old idealogy and sound bite garbage that is constantly being recycled. As to Newt - his day is past, for being the "big idea man" he is nothing but a big ego with a big mouth, looking for big money.

Wouldn't trust Newt if he were driving an 18 wheeler loaded with Bibles. He is just to much of a politician, guess he should be tho but still........

I live in GA and my wife knows Newt...He is always about himself and will say anything to get his name in the news. When he got in the race I knew what to expect. Great debater, but no substance. He was and is an embarrassment to my home state.
