Took the first one a few weeks ago in Yosemite - undecided about removing the close/dark clouds obscuring the white ones in the background...?
Did I mention I like clouds? :D

I'm not sure, but I think I'd leave the dark clouds in the first one. They kind of adds some depth. Maybe play with the settings (highlight, shadow, contrast, etc.) to see if they can be enhanced a little???
