I have no experience with milkweed and Monarch butterflies
outside of their natural environments. I am aware that Monarchs & milkweed have been successfully transplanted to Australia, but am unaware of such success in Spain, or anywhere else.
Monarchs are one of the very few migrating butterfly species, so a winter 'destination' is part of their migratory instinct. I have no idea what transplanted Monarchs would do in southern England.
