Beautiful shot. The school bus I rode most of my high school years went by the old church. The Bethabra settlement underwent a lot of archeological excavation during the '60's & '70's. It's a fascinating area to visit. Lots of history there & in Old Salem.
I actually did the photography during the original archeological excavation in the early 60's. It was quite an experience. I graduated RJR in '61.

I was in the 2nd graduating class at North Forsyth in 1965. Our class was so large we had to use the WS coliseum so we didn't have to limit our invitations. We made the front page of the WS Journal. My sister was in the last graduating class from Northwest before the school systems consolidated in 1963. I would love to spend some time in WS shooting pictures of Bethabara, Tanglewood, Wake Forest, & some other scenic areas around town.

Thanks. I made it last year and didn't think much about it until I saw it the other day and realized that it is a fairly nice shot.
