Help with moving photos

I'm so frustrated because I edited a photo in LR, saved in a folder on the desktop. Tried to send it to Costco for printing. When I try upload it onto Costco's webpage from the desktop it puts an arrow and the word "Move" on it and it will not allow me to do a thing. I know I must have done something to cause it but I've been trying for two hours to figure it out. Please help.

I have not used Lightroom, nor have I uploaded a file for printing, but am replying in hopes someone will now see this who can help. It might help if you say which operating system you have, and the file type you saved as. Good luck!

A screenshot of the error would help. What kind of a photo is this, RAW JPG, TIFF? What size is this photo, 10MG, 24MG. What OS are you using, MAC, PC? Way too many variables here to make any guesses, please provide a little more information.

BTW, why would you want to Move it, and not copy it? Did you try copying it? What OS has a move mouse command? Normally you have to hold a modifier key to move something. Unless you have a Move to Dropbox, or Move to Trash. So a screenshot would help.

if you are uploading to the website, is this from within lightroom (via a plugin) or outside (via web browser)? if from outside, then its probably nothing to do with lightroom. Try a simple picture (simple - not lr processed) and see if that process works

What possible difference would the photo being processed by LR matter?

In principal it shouldn't, but it did then might lead to something in the lr process, such as exporting wrong format, or dimensions, permission, corruption, etc.

the op was pining about lr, so he assumes something is wrong with light room. I was trying to see if maybe the website (upload process) might be at fault.

Which is why I asked what format they were using

LR does not introduce errors, people do.

When you say "saved in a folder on the desktop", how did you do this. LR has no 'Save' function. Do you mean to imply that you 'Exported' it to a folder?
