Andromeda Galaxy Dust Lanes

Last night we were able to shoot for a couple hours before the heavy dew shut us down.
My partner was shooting the M2 Globular Cluster while I shot the impressive Andromeda Galaxy Dust Lanes.
It turned our fairly well for a single shot. I hope tonight I can get enough shots to stack it and work it a little better.
Meade 8" SCT on a Celestron AVX mount, guided by a Orion StarShoot II Camera on an Orion 80mm Guide Scope.
Nikon D800E, f/10, ISO 800, 242 sec.

Oh My! That is Gorgeous, Craig!
Outstanding!

You must have your alignment perfected, and your guider dialed in to the gnats butt.

I'm obviously doing something wrong with my guidance system. When I activate it in PHD, things go smeary.
I'm currently using PHD2, but having the same old problems.
I know it is something I have wrong, but haven't sorted it out. :-(

Thank you Sonny. I have had some expert help with setting up my Guidance.
That's why I like getting together with the VAAS Club. I get to learn lots of things.

Ok, that is what I expect to get from my scope but I think being in ABQ the light pollution is killing it. I am jealous just a little teensy bit.
That is a killer shot.
Well done.

Thank you very much Jim.
I wish I could get shots like this at home.
But I have to go to the dark site Observatory.
Hooray we are finally getting some measurable rain.

Beautiful shot, Craig!

You want rain? You are more than welcome to some of the NorthWet's. From midnight Friday to midnight Saturday we had about 4". Definitely measureable...

Thank you very much SkyLane. I went to OSU so I know what you mean by Rain.
I just don't get to see any of it here in So Cal.

"It Never Rains in Southern California"
It's almost a Dust Bowl here.
