I do believe that there still is alot more GOOD people among us than BAD against us, but I'm afraid we are losing ground, that we will never get back!

Somewhere along the line something started going horrible wrong and I hope we can stop it- Soon I hope

With the current crop of possible leaders, I don't think so. I think it started long before, but evidenced itself back around 2008 or so.

I think the next chance we get, will simply let it slide further down the hill. The people in charge of changing anything seem marginally educated and woefully ignorant of consequences, both long and short term.

I agree Bob in a way, they are educated by greed, not by what is right or wrong-

Thanks Mate

people do good things, sometimes. the fallacy,{ the basic goodness of man}.we are born self centered, liars, and rationalizers. for other peoples resources we will invade, conquer, and kill. we then will invent a way to justify it in our history books.

Good is the exception. Spend a few minutes watching the nightly news.

Personally I think good is the norm. I see that in the far greater majority of people I deal with every day. BUT the news (TV, paper, or online)focus on the bad. Why, numbers of readers/ratings. I just read an article that basically said kids trick or treating will wind up in the ER. "Record high number" of kids go to the ER on Halloween. Another example is the recent storm that came up the east coast. "The 1000 year storm" as it was referred to on a lot of TV news and papers. I'm still trying to find out where the records were kept 1000 years ago on weather? I trust what I experience not read on goo vs. evil.

Remember the first law of the news: Dog bites man is not a story but man bites dog is!

The records you are searching for are in tree rings. They can tell (of course not daily) of the type of weather during certain periods; like drought, plenty of rains.

The weather bureau has only been around a hundred years, but then people like Ben Franklin was trying to understand weather long before that.

Yes, they said a thousand year storm, but that was based upon our understanding of one hundred years, and it was 10 x worse. There is still a lot of guessing in weather predictions.
