Can you share creative ways you've photographed/interpreted this weird holiday of ours, any spooky picture will do though even if you're not in a Halloween-obsessed area like the American south.

This one: Happy Halloween from New Orleans' French Quarter. A simple window reflection, very little PP needed, the window did it for me.

Nice teeth! He looks dangerous, Minnie.
I like to do textures, so here's one for you.
Happy Halloween!

Fun shot, Minnie. Bet that window stopped a lot of folks in their tracks :)

First Billy, then Graham, - now Min. You did warn me that you had some windows with reflections. I do hope you have more to share with us. Your seeing is topnotch.

What can I say except exceedingly well done and timely. Guess I'm gonna have to find another subject matter for my lens. lol, of course. You all haven't seen fit to catch your own reflections, - yet.

Good work, Min. Love it.

Very cool Marsha. I am learning about textures, and love the fun of it! I had another version of this skeleton guy that I used textures with.

And a truly great pumpkin it is. Terrific photograph Linda. Quite well conceived and executed. This one should be on a card available to all. And the apparent depth of space is very intriguing. Another first line image.

Thank Jim, that's high praise from our King of Seeing. I do have some with Min involved, none from the Halloween shoot tho, Mr. Skeleton's frame was busy enough as it was. May get 'round to posting one later. I usually take one with me in the window of George Rodrigue's gallery whenever they change the display. Those are my only self-portraits. I followed his story from before he was known (oil paintings were $25!) till his death a few years ago.

Would you post the textured one too? I would love to see it.

Thank you, Minnie! Mostly that look is a result of Topaz Simplify buzsim. Below is one that is a bit more "normal" to show more details, though it also has a creative filter: Nik Color Efex's Polaroid transfer. It's a huge challenge to use the ultra-wide angle lens at that location because, as you can see, there are lots of lots of little elements wanting to be in the frame :)

Just my kind of scene, I do love lots of little elements in a frame. I thought I was the only one that liked Polaroid Transfer. Now that you say it, I recognize buzz-sim.

As some of you know, my clinic is infested with wicked witches and zombies, especially at this time of year. I'll repost a few of these dreadful creatures for the holiday...
