After reading recommendations here, I bought a Nikon 28-300 from KEH for my D800. I'm loving it. This was a photo I took this evening; it was the last of the setting sun light. I had actually packed up the stuff in the truck, looked out the passenger window before I turned the key and saw this shot; it was dark but I loved the reflection of the pine trees on the pond in front of the lake.

Sylvia, thanks for the kind words. I was lucky that there was no wind blowing over the pond and there was a little something going on in the clouds.
