Perfect as I just took delivery of a new 100 Pro! Love it so far but know I have a lot to learn.

Just thought I'd pop in here and say that so far, I LOVE this printer! I got the deal where it came with a 50-pack of pro-luster Canon paper (13 x 19). WOW, U was amazed at how fast it printed a picture on that size (I'm used to my very slow Epson RX600). Colors (to me at least) looked fantastic! (and all this for $49)

Keep in mind that a simple computer monitor calibration device, like the X-Rite ColorMunki Smile, can improve your color satisfaction:

The Canon software that comes with the Pro-100 has a very unusual (to me) calibrations system. You pick a portion of a print where you want to nail the color. Then you print a "test" that has that part replicated with color adjustment numbers below each. When you identify the one you like, you can use those numbers in the Canon printing software settings.

I've not done any adjustments yet - just printing with out-of-the-box settings. Nice to know it can be adjusted of needed.

Per http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/monitor-calibration.htm
"Calibration is the process of getting a specific monitor to a desirable and well-defined state. This usually involves changing various physical parameters on that monitor, such as brightness and contrast, in addition to creating what is called a Look-Up Table (LUT).

Profiling is the process of characterizing a monitor's calibrated state using a color profile. These characteristics include the range of colors a monitor is capable of displaying (the "color space" ), in addition to the spacing of intermediate shades within this range ("gamma" ). Other properties may also be included.

A monitor calibration device performs the task of both calibration and profiling. It usually looks like a computer mouse, but it fastens to the front of your monitor. Special software then controls the monitor so that it displays a broad range of colors and shades underneath the calibration device, which are each sequentially measured and recorded.
