Very good shot! Tough to get the moons. Did you use a mount ?

Thank you very much.
I used a standard tripod.
So AWESOME!!! I am so glad I am alive at a time to see so many of these once in a lifetime kind of occurrences happening in our skies. Thanks for sharing this one!! All I see here are clouds :(

Thank you for the compliment. This was a quick throw together, shoot process and go to work this morning.
I also shot the 3 planets but they are no longer in the triangle and I blew Venus way out. No time to spend a lot of time fussing over settings.
Thanks again.

Thanks Craig, that was my secondary goal this morning but time was an issue.
I also shot the 3 planets lined up but overblew Venus. I'll play with it tonight and see what I can salvage.

And here is the Trio shot.
Nothing to write home about.

Nice job Jim, how did you keep Venus from blowing out?
In PS? Your secret would be useful for Jupiter and it's moons too.

Did not use lightroom or photoshop. I actually boasted highlights in Canon Photo pro and it helped with venus after I dropped the exposure by one notch.
I was able to pull more of the moon detail by increasing my focus level being careful not to introduce artifact.
It took about 5 minutes of tweaking to pull this down.
Oh and I focused on Mars with liveview at 10X to get it as sharp as I could.
