Does anyone have any information about when the P900 becomes available? Thanks in advance.

It's been available for some time now. Many of us have ours, but you need to get on a waiting list somewhere due to the camera's popularity. Also check prices when you do. Most of us bought for about $599 but I see some advertised today on sites wanting over $900. You may have a longer wait on the sites advertising $599. Be patient and when you get yours you will find the wait has been worth while.

Yes, I have seen the inflated prices on Ebay. I'll think I'll try Best Buy or B&H. I'm in no hurry. Thanks.

When I originally to their website I got the same "back order" message. Since it was on back order everywhere I looked, I ordered one on the Nikon website, filled out credit card information, and the camera arrived (unannounced) in 3 - 4 weeks.

On a whim, I went to Best Buy, ordered it and paid for it. They said it would arrive Wednesday. We'll see. Thanks for all your comments.

It had not been available anywhere for months. I happened to find one in bestbuy.com and bought it. I had previoulsy ordered from nikonusa.com - which is also fulfilled and arrived today. So I end up with two. I will sell it on ebay or return it to nikonusa.com

Pre-ordered with B & H. Received it in about a month. Web site continued to show that it was on back order...still shows it back order today.

I preorder on 9/9 from B&H. Keep getting "still backorder notices". From your comment, appears I will receive "sometime", hopefully soon.

Thanks for the heads-up, RGH. I've had one on order with B&H since July and they still have no fulfillment information. Just ordered from Best Buy online and they say delivery on 11.03.15. Like one of the other hogs said, "We'll see". Hate to cancel on B&H, a great supplier, but ya can't supply what ya ain't got.

I bought one and do not like it- put it in a camera bag in the camera closet and chalked the expense up to need vs greed...went back to using the D810 and will buy a Canon PS this week.....I was all hyped up about the Nikon but very disappointed when I used it!!!
