I use PS CS6 which means I have installed the disc on my MacBook Pro. If I buy a newer model MBP, is the PS program transferable? Thank you.

Yes, just deactivate it on the old MBP and then install on the new MBP. But even if you forget to deactivate it on the old computer, you can install it on 2 of your own computers at the same time.

I make use of CS-5 not very different from 6...

I have loaded and re-loaded on 4 other computers... One desk-top and three Lap-Tops.... All are working good.

And NO I do Not have a need to change to the "C.C." thing. I like having a good old Hard-Copy on a DVD and I have all of my original RAW in two 4 Tet drives.. And Printable edits and ones for sale on two other 1 Tet drives. NO! I do not use Lightroom either.. I open in "Bridge" as RAW and go from there.

This is the way I do it.... Others here may have their own ideas as to what to do.. AND every way is good, for each to whom is comfortable.

I make use of CS-5 not very different from 6... br... (show quote)

While I do use CS6 and it was worth the up-grade from CS5 I to like the pay once and use "forever" I hate monthly payments. I, like you do not use Light room , open in bridge edit and store on multi hard drives.
Great minds think alike
