This hand held shot was taken with my old P&S Canon on a dark, wet, lonely night somewhere near Clonmel, Ireland. I just dug it out and applied some trial LR adjustments on it. After taking the shot I do recall going in to the pub for some hot soup and ended up spending a wonderful evening of song, dance, and libations with some very funny locals. Your comments and general analysis would be appreciated.

Pubs can be like that. A quick meal becomes an all evening event.

My initial observations is that the outside lighting is horrible blown out. I don't know if that is a product of the original image, or the post processing. Otherwise, I like the composition, and depth of field.

I like that you included the bush and flowers in foreground. They add to the mood and atmosphere.

Can't help wishing the parked vehicles weren't there - and it appears that at least one of those is illegally parked :)

Thanks Bob. Yes, the lighting was blown out in the original. I mainly sharpened and slightly darkened the photo.

Thank you Carol. It just brings back some fun memories for me so I wanted to try touching it up some.

Neat scene. All the components go together well: your perspective collected everything nicely. Your retouch was well done.

Really enjoyed this picture. Was it with Canon S95 by any chance?

No Sue, it was just an inexpensive S2IS only 5 megapixel. I loved the ergonomics of it but was just not enough MP as I began to get more serious with photography.

Nice photo -I liked the lighting & general composition. I may have been inclined to crop out a touch more of the foreground and the red tail light on the left.
