Here is an interesting - even compelling - disassembly of a Nikon D7000. If I took my camera apart like that and put it back together again, there would be several hundred small parts left over.

Same here on the "leftovers." Someone told me once that if I were to disassemble/reassemble a device enough times that I'd eventually have two of them.
