Practice...all you can, the best way to learn any photo software. There are no short cuts that I know of. Take a picture, make a copy, and start playing with the different setting to see what they so. The best way to learn is by doing, so hopefully you'll remember some of it. After awhile it becomes second nature.

I got PSE 10 just before Christmas. Believe me, there is no "easy" way to learn it. The more tips you read and the more you use it, the better and easier it gets.

I have been using Elements since PSE 7 and it is a great program. I came across a magazine totally devoted to Elements. photoshopelementsuser.com It is a quarterly subscription and details every aspect of the program in clear concise language and shows you how to use it. The website also has its own tutorials. There is a free issue on the website you can check out. It also gives you ideas on things you could do with photos you perhaps hadn't thought of. There are also challenges in every issue where you can submit your work and show off what you've done. Check it out, you might like it.

Photoshop Elements User is a great magazine and website. For the cost of the subscription you also get access to over 800 turorials! I posted a link yesterday to save $10 off a 1 or 2 year subscription. (If you can't find it send me a pm).

Too bad you're not closer - I teach Adult Ed classes in PSE! I did do a phone session with another UHH user. Let me know if you are interested.

I use the book" Photoshop Elements 10 the Missing manual". It covers both Windows and Mac versions. It is available in a Kindle version so I have it on my PC with a Kindle app.

Buy Kelby and Kloskowski's book. If you don't have time for that you don't have time for Elements 10.

I hunted and pecked my way through Elements 5 - was confusing and time-consuming.

When I upgraded to Elements 7 I took a free class on CreativeLIVE.com - so much easier and organized. The course was so good that I purchased a download of the class. I highly recommend taking a class as the way to go. There doesn't seem to be an Elements 10 class coming up any time soon on CreativeLIVE - but I think you might find one here: http://www.texaschicksblogsandpics.com/photoshop-elements-from-a-to-z/

I get this gal's newsletter and she's easy to understand and knows her stuff.
