We pulled into the gas pump today and this what was there filling up. The Gentleman was filling up about five cans of gas. He said it was 1946 the first year they make trucks again after the war. He was eighty six years old. At eight years younger I do see many any more older. I wished I had a filter with me but you can not carry ever thing.

I would have been ten at the time. I can remember that after the war it was hard to find a good used vehicle. Dad 1936 Chevy Sedan and they were wood bodies, they door post were starting to rot out and was not to safe to drive. Finally found a 42 Chevy war model and traded for it.

Old Timer, nice picture of the interesting old pickup truck. You sure don't see many of these anymore. Thanks for sharing. Tejaswrangler :)

Nice one. And I'm happy to say I wasn't born yet when it was new.

That is one beautiful truck. Today's can't hold a candle to them. And your shot doesn't need a filter. good going!
