Nice application of the HDR exposure technique. You kept a light hand on the controls so the pictures do not look overcooked. All the pictures look as if they were captured naturally.
After the HDR process you could have applied some editing to the foreground of the first picture. The dark shadowed foreground tends to split the picture in half horizontally. Leave the rest of the shadowed elements alone, but lighten the foreground hill a bit to better blend the foreground to the bright background, but leave the foreground as a slight shadow. More how your eye and memory recall the scene.

Bridgeman, br br Nice application of the HDR expo... (show quote)
I agree that most HDR attempts are over done. I have seen just a few extreme HDRs that I thought look OK. Most of them were closeups of colorful old buildings. I did attempt to show the natural beauty of Monument Valley. Thanks for confirming this.

I am learning PP, but try not to do too much to my photos. I will attempt to try your suggestion. Thanks!
The cloud formations sure have changed between the 1st and 3rd photos. I tend to like the 3td photo as it shows the great expanse of the area you were in.
In the third photo the small green object just below and slightly to the right of the main butte is a ranch house. It really puts in perspective the size of the buttes and the vastness of Monument Valley. Thanks for your comment.
