Several years ago I played around with infrared photos on film cameras. I am about to delve into it with digital. I sent away an Olympus OMD EM10 to have a 720mm infrared filter put in. Has anyone done any IR with 4/3 camera's. Looking forward to playing around with it.

i love infrared and have a Nikon D300 with 720nm filter. Both Kolarivision.com and Lifepixel.com have lots of good info on their sites.

Burt Hollen, Adventure awaits you in the unseen world of IR. Your choice of 720 nm is a good choice. I purchased a Canon G2 10 years ago and converted by removing the hot mirror and using threaded filters. I purchased the full range 650-950 nm; 650 is too close to visible, 950 is too dark. Consulting with Goldie Locks, she told me that 850 nm is OK, but 750 nm is the best. Eventually, the passion subsides, then like malaria flairs up again.

Topaz B&W2 will be very helpful to bring out the best in these master-pieces you will generate.

And remember the old song from My Fair Lady. Only Mad Dogs, English Men, and IR Photographers get out in the noon day sun.

"To give foliage that famed infrared glow you need to shoot at a time of day when there’s more sun on the scene than not. This puts your prime shooting times around mid-day! "

Sorry I am late responding. I did convert an Olympus omd em10 to 650nm infrared and have done some test short trips and really like it. I have a lot to learn about handling changing colors, etc. but it will be fun to work with. Thanks again for your tips.
