I hope you get an answer to the layers question. I don't use elements 9 but a lot of people have trouble with layers with that software. Good Luck.

Do you have the book by Kelby? If not, you need to get it. Until then I'll give you the basic format.
1. go to hue/saturation
2. go to adjustments
3. check the colorize box
4. set the Hue to 25 and then set the saturation to 25.
play with it from there.

Now go get the book, it called; The photoshop elements 8or9 book for digital photographers. by Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski.

I hope you get the desired results.

Listen to Rachel on those books. I have two books from both of them. Excellent learning resource.

No I don't have that book. I bought the book "Photoshop Elements 9 for Dummies", I thought it appropiate!!

I also bought "Layers" by Matt Kloskowski but he is way over my head.

I will go look for the book at Barnes & Noble.
Thanks

You got the right two books! People learn in different ways. You may want to try a video course. The best thing I can tell you is play around and experiment. Your not going to break that computer. (CNTL J -- create a layer) or CMD J on the MAC.

Thank you, I will learn how to use it if it kills me. It is a good program.
